Crown Agents’ first experience of working in Bulgaria was in 1990, when we undertook an evaluation mission to analyse the needs and capabilities of the Ministry of Health to manage the acquisition, storage and control of medical supplies.
Since then, we have worked on over 20 projects, covering everything from Customs modernization to supporting the introduction of natural gas.
The diversity of our portfolio in Bulgaria reflects almost the full range of the company’s multi-disciplinary skills. Public Finance Management is one of our core businesses and this is evidenced by our involvement with customs reform in Bulgaria ever since 1995. For the next five years we were contracted to support the reform and modernisation of customs services throughout the region, in almost all the countries seeking membership of the European Union at both the national and regional levels.
