Improving the Efficiency of Policies and Measures on the Use of Information Systems to Prevent Corruption and Crime

A cornerstone of any policy to prevent corruption and crime is the appropriate use of information technology. The mere presence of robust and functioning Information Technology can in itself act as a counter to corruption. Information technology solutions, when properly focused, can ensure transparency and auditability to any activity.

Under Phase I of the Programme Crown Agents provided assistance with achieving these objectives through:

  • Analysis of the existing systems to identify gaps and needs
  • Assistance with the development of a coordinated IT strategy and Action Plan
  • Assistance with the implementation of the Action Plan
