Bulgarian Customs Agency collected over 5 billion BGN for the first nine months of 2006

For the first nine months of 2006 the Bulgarian Customs Agency has collected 5,007,774,200 BGN (5.007 billion BGN) which represents 82.7% realization of the annual revenue planned by the Ministry of Finance.

The data shows that Bulgarian Customs Agency’s revenue for the first nine months of this year is up by 1,188,533,972 BGN (1.188 billion BGN) as compared to the revenue for the same period of the previous year when 3,819,240,228 BGN (3.819 billion BGN) were collected.

Bulgarian Customs Agency’s revenue for September 2006 is 547,942,885 BGN (547.9 million BGN). This sum is up by 65,934,515 BGN as compared to September last year when 482,008,370 BGN (482 million BGN) were collected. The percentage increase is 13.6%. Net receipts come from goods importation, duties, VAT, excises, fines and interests, and were brought in to the Republican budget.

Duties and fees collected are 38,937,716 BGN. VAT brought in to the Republican budget is 480,533,366 BGN. Revenue from excises for importation is 27,949,709 BGN and from fines, sanctions and interests – 522,092 BGN.

The analyses show that Bulgarian Customs Agency’s revenue from importation is expected to exceed 6.6 Billion BGN for 2006.
