For only 10 months the Bulgarian Customs Agency has fulfilled almost 94% of the whole annual plan set by the Ministry of Finance. Total revenue is currently 5,675,837,556 BGN while planned revenue for 2006 is 5,976,152,000 BGN. For comparison, the receipts for the first ten months of 2005 were 4,322,726,150 e.g. 1,353,111,406 BGN more have been collected for the January-October 2006 period.
It could be forecasted that until the end of the year customs revenues from importation of goods in 2006 would be by 1 billion more than those for 2005, which would be a growth of around 28-30%.
The total sum of the revenues from duties, VAT, excises, fines, sanctions and interests, which were actually brought in the state budget in October 2006, is 668,063,355 BGN or by 164,557,434 BGN more than the receipts for October last year when 503,485,921 BGN were collected. The increase is almost 33%.
During the tenth month of this year, only from duties and fees, the Bulgarian Customs Agency has collected 45,835,380.50 BGN. The sum is by 11,889,592 BGN more than he one recorded in October last year when 33,945,226 BGN were collected. The percentage increase is 35%.
The growth of VAT receipts is also unique. 587,628,667 BGN have been collected for October which is by 148,178,451 BGN more than the revenue for the same period of last year. Revenue from excises for importation is 33,938,251 BGN and the one from fines, sanctions and interests is 661,047 BGN.
